IMPORTANT NOTE:  THERE ARE NO VALID ON-LINE GED TESTS, CERTIFICATES OR DIPLOMAS.  Don't be fooled.

We—and most New Hampshire GED test centers—require the Practice GED (Pre-test) as a prerequisite to register for the Official GED.  Since the GED passing percentage in New Hampshire is 81.7%, exceeding the US average of 68.7%, it is felt that this requirement enhances preparation and success for New Hampshire's GED candidates.

Official GED Test sessions are administered at Keene Community Education, Keene New Hampshire.
Testing dates may be changed. It is possible that a test will be cancelled due to low enrollment or extremely bad weather.  Registered candidates will be notified and placed into the following month registration.

Our goal is to help each GED candidate succeed and pass.  Keene Community Education can help.  If you know someone who needs to pass the GED, you can encourage that person to get started.
If you are:

  • Unsure of your reading or math problem-solving skills...
  • Not confident in your ability to understand and interpret information...
  • Needing to brush up on sentence and paragraph structure, spelling and punctuation...

...You are encouraged to request a free assessment and GED preparation recommendations.  Call Katie Delaney at (603) 357-9041 to set up an appointment.

A wealth of GED preparation advice is available at www.gedprepinfo.com.  You'll find information on specific topics and study tips as well as Practice questions and an answer key for each topic.  There is no cost for using this website and it provides lots of guidance for anyone taking the GED.

RESULTS:  Transcripts and the Official New Hampshire GED Certificate

Test results and one free unofficial transcript will be sent by mail approximately two weeks after testing.  If an official transcript is required for college admission or employment application, a letter—or (click to obtain)  Release of Records form — and $5 (check payable to Keene School District) for each transcript requested.  The request and payment may be mailed or brought directly to the Keene Community Education office at 171 West St., Keene, NH  03431.  Clearly indicate full name and any other name under which the GED test may have been taken--such as maiden name.  Provide current address, telephone number, date of birth, Social Security number (all information is held in strict confidence). and the complete address of the institution to which each official transcript must be sent.

NOTE:  An Official Transcript can only be sent directly from the GED Testing Center to an academic or employment recipient or another GED Testing Center.

Upon successful completion of the Official GED Test Battery, the NH GED Certificate will be issued from the State of New Hampshire GED Administrator, usually within a month.
